About the Artwork

Lost Field brings imaginative attention to the expanded and elusive boundaries of both place and cosmos. It evolved as light-sensitive ink permeated through paper, which later lay in the sun; an heirloom lacework made by my distant ancestor rested atop. Over many weeks, sunlight faded the paper and a barely visible solar x-ray of the fabric formed. This entry is an inverted photograph of the original artwork. In the inversion process an intensely rich portal of blue light revealed an otherworldly dimension, co-existing with the familiar material realm of our lived reality.
